Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Overseas Markets Development, Property Development, Purchasing Equipment, Starting a Business and Working Capital.

Money is available for the following business types: Academic, Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation, Small Business and Start-ups.

Top 10 Funding Opportunities:

Wireless Communication Technologies and Signal Processing – Standardisation and Follow-up/PoCs (September 2025)

The target outcomes of this action will address methods for an efficient effective, affordable, and accessible use of frequency spectrum for joint communication and sensing built upon energy efficient radio solutions by meeting 6G technical KPIs.

Contracts for Innovation: DSbD Advancing CHERI RISC-V Devices

This competition aims to fund activities in maturing and growing the availability of commercial off the shelf implementations of CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) enabled devices for use in embedded computing.

Mid Wales Commercial Property Investment Fund – Building Acquisition and Renovation

This fund aims to enable the development of new commercial property, including the provision of infrastructure and utilities as necessary and enable the extension, renovation/refurbishment, retrofit or conversion of existing commercial property.

Innovation Loans Future Economy Competition – Round 21

The scheme is providing funding to support highly innovative late stage research and development projects with strong commercial potential to significantly improve the UK economy.

Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES) Call 2 – Ground Station Innovation

This programme aims to support UK businesses to deliver new technologies, products and services. This targeted call for expressions of interest seeks to develop the latest innovation in satellite gateway technology under the various initiatives of the European Space Agency ARTES Programme. Possible technologies include both RF and Optical Satellite Gateways as well the development of components, systems or services to support these technologies.

Contracts for Innovation: Quantum Sensors and PNT Missions Primer

This competition aims to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum sensors (QS) and quantum position, navigation, and timing (QPNT) products and services. Phase 1 projects must deliver a maturity study for a product or service essential for the delivery of one or more of the National Quantum Strategy Missions 3, 4, and 5.

Defence Innovation Loans 2025/26 (July 2025)

This scheme is providing loans with a below market interest rate of 7.4% per annum for SMEs to help them convert their mature defence innovation into a strong business proposition for defence procurement.

This competition aims to fund activities in maturing and enabling the availability of CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) tools and software components for RISC-V embedded devices that implement the CHERI architecture extensions.

Future Flight: Strategic Growth – Industrial Research

This competition will support projects to demonstrate progress towards commercialisation or achievement of routine Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, building on current state of the art approaches.
