New Grants Added This Week – 3rd March 2025 to 10th March 2025

There were 18 new schemes added last week with a total amount available of £29,500.

The amounts available range from £2,000 to £20,000.

Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency and Recruit and Develop Staff.

Money is available for the following business types: Academic, Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation and Small Business.

Top 10 Funding Opportunities:

Expression of Interest: Supporting Researchers to Involve Public at Pre-Application Stage

Researchers can apply for funding to for their own scheme to reimburse time and expenses for public partners to work with researchers to develop Medical Research Council (MRC) research funding applications.

Subsidised Contract Research Programme

This scheme provides a 50% subsidy for contract research for companies looking to enhance research capabilities and achieve a step change by developing new products, services, or technologies, or by advancing current innovations through access to research expertise and specialist labs.

Consultancy and Contract Research

This scheme provides vouchers towards the cost of contract research and consultancy projects. The vouchers can be used for academic staff time for research or consultancy activity, access to specialist equipment or facilities and other reasonable costs at the discretion of the Research and Knowledge Exchange department.

Natural Flood Management (NFM) Grant Funding

This scheme aims to support landowners and farmers to undertake land and water management activities to build Calderdale’s resilience to heavy rainfall events.

Arrow Sunderland Innovate and Grow

This fully-funded programme aims to support Sunderland-based businesses facing innovation challenges. The support available covers two key areas: Sustainable advanced manufacturing research project and digital adoption research projects. This scheme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

FLOURISH

SMEs, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations in Newcastle-under-Lyme can access fully-funded projects delivered by a student or graduate across the following key themes: Digital Society and Economy, Sustainability, SME innovation, Culture and Creativity and Entrepreneurship. This scheme is part-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Research, Innovate and Emerge Programme – Business Growth

This programme aims to support SMEs to develop proposals for innovation funding for collaborative research and innovation, validate a technology or solution and grow their business.

This programme aims to support SMEs to develop proposals for innovation funding for collaborative research and innovation, validate a technology or solution and grow their business.

Student Innovation Projects

Student Innovation Projects (SIPs) enable businesses to collaborate with students to overcome their challenges. SIPs are free, will be four weeks in length, and will take place either in the Autumn or Spring term.

Professional Pathways

Professional Pathways aims to work with businesses to provide students from any degree background and year of study the opportunity to gain experience within, as well as knowledge and insights into, one of three Pathway sectors: Arts, Culture and Heritage, Charity and Development and Marketing. The scheme will fully fund 35 hour internships submitted by employers.
