The amounts available range from £1,000 to £15,000,000.

Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Property Development, Recruit and Develop Staff and Starting a Business.

Money is available for the following business types: Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation, Small Business and Start-ups.

What Works Centre (WWC) for Local Employment Support

Research organisations can apply for funding to establish an independent, co-created What Works Centre (WWC) to identify, develop, test, and evaluate evidence-based locally delivered employment support to help people access, remain in, and thrive in good quality work. Proposals must include at least one project co-lead from business, the third sector or government bodies.

Defence Innovation Loans 2025/26 (March 2026)

This scheme is providing loans with a below market interest rate of 7.4% per annum for SMEs to help them convert their mature defence innovation into a strong business proposition for defence procurement.
