There were 32 new schemes added last week with a total amount available of £16,165,000.

The amounts available range from £1,500 to £4,000,000.

Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Purchasing Equipment, Recruit and Develop Staff and Starting a Business.

Money is available for the following business types: Academic, Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation, Small Business and Start-ups.

CoSTAR Showcase Labs: Createch Infrastructure and Commercialisation

UK research organisations are invited to apply to join the Convergent Screen Technologies and performance in Realtime (CoSTAR) Network and host national research and development infrastructure for the creative sector.

Electricity Demand Turn Up trial: EOI for Flexibility Providers

This competition aims to identify Flexibility Service Providers, including energy suppliers and aggregators, that can participate in Phase 1 of a Demand Turn Up Trial. No funding will be allocated at this stage. Grant funding will be provided over the full trial.

Towards a European Network of Ocean Technology Testing Sites

The project supported under this topic is expected to contribute to outcomes including, but not limited to, harmonized approaches and processes across sites to ensure consistent and simplified access, taking into consideration the sensitivity of marine ecosystems in and around the sites.

Advancing Innovation in Accelerated Cancer Diagnosis – Industrial Research

This competition aims to accelerate the development of diagnostic innovations that enable the earlier detection and diagnosis of cancer, particularly less common cancers.

UK research organisations can apply for funding for projects focused on speculative and high-risk research with the potential to deliver high rewards and a step change in the sustainability of future AI systems.

Open Topic on Preventing and Countering the Misuse of Emerging Technologies for Criminal Purposes, Including Issues Related to Lawful Access to Data

The project supported under this topic is expected to contribute to outcomes including, but not limited to, police authorities in Europe being empowered with modern, accessible and validated tools, methodologies and training curricula to anticipate and cope with the misuse of new and emerging technologies for criminal purposes, with the aim to facilitate prevention, detection, efficient data access and investigation of criminal offences in a lawful manner and with full respect of fundamental rights, including the right to protection of personal data and to privacy.

SMART Capital Equipment Fund (September 2026)

This fund provides grants to support businesses to purchase equipment which will increase investment in research, development and innovation capability and capacity, the use of recycled and re-used content in products or components or productivity through adoption of innovative technologies.
