There were 52 new schemes added last week with a total amount available of £2,544,800.

The amounts available range from £800 to £2,100,000.

Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Purchasing Equipment, Recruit and Develop Staff and Starting a Business.

Money is available for the following business types: Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation, Small Business and Start-ups.

Doctoral Focal Awards in Data-Intensive Sciences

Research organisations can apply for funding for doctoral focal awards in the field of data-intensive sciences.

South Midlands Growth Grants – Capital Growth Grant – Business Growth

This scheme is providing capital funding to support the acceleration of business growth, fostering innovation and decarbonisation efforts. Eligible costs can include, but are not limited to, plant, equipment and machinery acquisition, diversification into new products, improvements to commercial buildings and website development.

Feature Film Development (October 2026)

This scheme is providing funding to support the costs of developing a single feature length film (including animated films) or documentary, which is geared toward cinema audiences. Small awards of up to £10,000 and large awards of up to £24,999 are available.

Shop Front Improvement Grant Scheme (August 2026)

This scheme aims to enhance the visual appeal of key areas within Oldham town centre and support independent businesses. Eligible costs can include, but are not limited to, new or replacement signage, external painting and decorative works and repair or replacement of doors and windows.

Trafford Shop Improvement Grant (July 2026) – Building Acquisition and Renovation

The scheme aims to support new and existing retail and hospitality business in Trafford’s town centres. The scheme will fund building and renovation works, as well as investments that will reduce the carbon footprint of properties or improve the customer experience for people with accessibility issues.

SME Low Carbon Grant Programme

This scheme aims to contribute to the LAEP strategy ambitions, reduce carbon emissions with solar and heat pumps, improve local business energy resilience, and lower operating costs. The programme will fund energy assessments and provide grants towards the cost of solar PV, batteries linked to solar panels and/or Heat Pumps.
