This week, we’re covering the latest business grants to be showcased in the areas of energy efficiency, growth for SMEs and new Government grants under the UK Shared Prosperity and Rural Prosperity Funding pots. Here are some examples of the latest UK schemes available:
1: Energy Efficiency Grants – Powering Your Business with Sustainable Savings
Embrace energy efficiency and reduce your environmental impact with the following grant:
The Energy Efficiency Capital grant is part of The Decarbonisation Net Zero Programme (DNZ) for Coventry City Council, with funding of up to £100,000 for SMEs to implement energy-saving measures for local businesses. Typical eligible projects include upgrading your lighting systems, installing renewable energy sources, or enhancing insulation.
2: SME Grants – Fuelling Growth for Small Businesses
There are grants available for SMEs and micro-businesses in regions around the UK to support growth prospects. We have a selection of 2 this week:
i) West Midlands SME Grant Programme: This program is back for its latest round, providing grants of up to £100,000 for SMEs in the West Midlands region. Funding is available for business expansion activities, investing in new capital equipment, developing innovative products or services.
ii) Grant Investment Fund: Northumberland County Council is offering grants of up to £300,000 to SMEs and microbusinesses from selected sectors in the county. This scheme aims to support business growth and job creation, with a focus on projects that enhance innovation, improve productivity, or create new markets.
3: UK Shared Prosperity Fund – Unleashing Local Potential
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a game-changer for local communities, providing funding for projects that drive economic and business growth. This week’s opportunity to apply for business grants is as follows:
Business Challenge Grants: This program is ran by Renfrewshire County Council and comes from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund pot and offers grants of up to £100,000 for organisations to deliver new and innovative business support not currently offered in Renfrewshire for SMEs.
4: Rural England Prosperity Grants – Nurturing Growth in the Countryside
The Rural England Prosperity Fund provides funding for businesses in rural areas to help diversify their activities, beyond typical farming activities and also to boost tourism. There are 2 regions with government grants for small business this week:
i) Rother and Wealden Rural Business Grants Programme: This program provides grants of up to £50,000 to businesses in Rother and Wealden that are seeking to expand, diversify, or innovate in farming areas. Eligible projects include funding to develop new products, enhance tourism experiences, or create new jobs.
ii) Rural Prosperity Grant for Tewkesbury: Tewkesbury Borough Council is offering grants of up to £25,000 to rural businesses in the borough that are looking to grow or diversify. Eligible funding includes for capital projects relating to net zero infrastructure and diversifying business activities beyond traditional farming.
