This latest update highlights several new UK business grant programmes across key areas, such as energy efficiency, business growth, innovation, and building improvements. New and established businesses can apply for grants that provide a financial boost to help achieve project success.
1. Energy Efficiency
There are 430 energy efficiency schemes available
Energy efficiency funding covers the cost of equipment and measures to help businesses reduce their overall energy usage and carbon footprint, including electric vehicles, efficient lighting, insulation, renewable energy, boiler equipment and water saving measures. Here’s some examples of what’s new this week.
i) Net Zero Business Advice and Grants by North Norfolk District Council: This scheme provides free energy audits and grants for North Norfolk businesses to implement carbon reduction and energy-saving measures and purchase energy efficient equipment. Maximum funding amount is £10,000.
ii) Funding for Business Decarbonisation by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council: This programme provides grants for feasibility studies, equipment upgrades, and consultancy services to reduce carbon emissions for businesses in the Bournemouth area. Maximum funding amount is £5,000.
2. Business Growth
There are 320 business growth schemes available
Business growth funding covers the cost of business development activities such as launching new products or services, marketing costs and growth planning. Here’s some examples of what’s new this week.
i) North Norfolk Rural Business Grant Programme by North Norfolk District Council: This scheme provides grants for capital equipment, marketing, and skills development for rural North Norfolk businesses looking to diversify away from traditional farming activities. Maximum funding amount is £100,000.
ii) Rural Enterprise Fund – Existing Businesses (Round 3) by Herefordshire Council: Grants are available for businesses in Herefordshire’s rural areas to invest in growth, diversification away from traditional farming activities and job creation. Maximum funding amount is £50,000.
3. Business Innovation
There are 878 business innovation schemes available
Business innovation funding covers research and development project activities across various science, industry and creative sectors. Here’s some examples of what’s new this week.
i) UK-Taiwan CRD 2024 by Innovate UK: This scheme encourages joint research and development (R&D) projects in innovative sectors such as AI, biotechnology, and advanced materials in high tech collaborations between UK and Taiwanese businesses. Maximum funding amount is £900,000.
ii) Horizon Europe Pump Priming Programme by Innovate UK: This scheme is providing funding to innovative UK businesses looking to access opportunities for collaborative research and innovation under Horizon Europe Pillar 2 Clusters, Missions and European Partnerships, and Pillar 3 EIC Pathfinder and Transition programmes. Maximum funding amount is £6.000.
4. Buildings and Renovation
There are 746 buildings and renovation schemes available
Buildings and renovation funding covers commercial and domestic building expansion projects, building refurbishment, new builds and shop front improvements. Here’s some examples of what’s new this week.
i) Tuxford Shopfront Grant by Bassetlaw District Council: Funding for shopfront improvements in Tuxford town centre, such as painting, signage, and accessibility upgrades. Maximum funding amount is £20,000.
ii) Childcare Expansion Capital Grant by Blackpool Council: Funding for equipment, furniture, and renovation works for existing and new childcare premises to create new childcare places in Blackpool. Registered private childcare facilities are eligible to apply. Maximum funding amount is £25,000.
